In a “3D on the Web” session on the first day of TPAC, we presented the XML3D approach to integrate interactive 3D graphics into HTML. Together with our colleagues from the x3dom project we presented, why we think a declarative solution for 3D graphics is needed. We got very positive and helpful feedback from the participants (W3C, Boeing, Microsoft, LG and others) and were encouraged from W3C members to start a W3C Incubator Group on that topic.  The November issue of the German journal iX for IT professionals contains a collection of articles dealing with 3D capabilities in the browser. In collaboration with the X3DOM Team, we contributed an article about our approaches to add interactive 3D graphics into HTML.
